Photo Gallery allows you to create unlimited galleries and organize them into different photo albums providing detailed gallery descriptions and tags.The plugin supports both image and video content.
Adding photos and videos to the galleries from the WordPress dashboard is simple and easy with its user-friendly admin panel. You’ll get all the tools you need to add and edit photos in the galleries.The file manager will help to rename, upload, remove, copy images and/or image directories with a few simple steps. Under the options (settings) tab in admin panel you’ll find an extensive list of settings for galleries, thumbnails, watermarking, social accounts and slideshow that you can configure based on your needs. Plugin features a powerful lightbox that supports filmstrip and image carousel display. Also, you can enable image comments options and show the comments of the images right in the lightbox. GDPR

When you install FooGallery for the first time, the plugin asks you (the website admin) to opt-in so that we can track your usage of the plugin and provide a better service (send you update emails for new version releases and security updates etc). This is optional and not required in order to use the plugin.

8 Views Options:

Blocks Toggle Up/Down

Quite an interesting view. All images/videos with its title and “down-arrow” are at the bottom. When you click on the arrow, smoothly opens the text to the image/video, as well as other images/videos which you add as additional to your portfolio gallery.

The all images/videos of portfolio gallery project become large and open with popup. There is a button labeled «view more» at the bottom of the text, which will move to more information.

Arrow-down has already become a cross which close the text back. If the pictures are under each other, the opened text moves other images/video thumbnail of the portfolio gallery project toward. Simple and compact.

Regarding the backend of portfolio gallery Blocks Toggle Up/Down view, there is a General Options allowing users to customize portfolio gallery Blocks Toggle view according to their taste. Thumbnail Images can be hidden due to unpicking Show Thumbnails from General Options section of Portfolio Gallery.

Full-Height Blocks

Full-Height Blocks is a type of view demonstrating a tape of images/videos, which allows to see the text and other images/videos under the main image/video with its title.

All additional images/videos become large when clicking on them, and open with popup. It has “View more” button at the bottom of the text for each portfolio gallery project.

General Options of portfolio gallery allow to hide the description of your gallery if needed. Those images of portfolio gallery which you don’t need to direct with URL just untick Show Link Button.

Labeled “View More” button text can be changed into any other word in each portfolio gallery project.

Gallery / Content-Popup

Gallery / Content-Popup is a type of view, which has the following characteristics: It opens each project from your tape increasing them as popup, with the text and other images/videos inside, next to the main image/video.

Inside popup you can find the thumbnail/additional images, which you have added to each project of the gallery.

There is also a button “View more” inside, which allows opening more information about the portfolio gallery project content.

Using right left arrows inside the popup you can slide within all gallery projects. The “cross” button in the upper right corner closes the popup going back to the gallery items.

Gallery / Content-Popup view provides a zoom icon when users hover over the portfolio gallery images. It allows to see your main image with its additional images under it and the text disposed next to the image.

The title is above the text and “View more” button is at the bottom of the text. All images can be opened and enlarged with lightbox tool.

FAQ Toggle Up/Down

FAQ Toggle Up/Down – FAQ Toggle view is very simple.

You can see only the titles of the portfolio gallery project and down-arrow button.

Clicking on down-arrow button smoothly opens the text downwards and “view more” button under it.

So there are no images/videos only the text. Pressing on the cross you can close the text and go back to titles.

Lightbox Gallery

Lightbox Gallery is a type of gallery view involves only preview of images without description text. The title comes up from the bottom of the image as you hover the mouse on it.

Images and Videos become larger with the lightbox and you can slide to watch them. Pay attention, this portfolio gallery demonstrates only main image/videos of the whole project.

The main image size can be changed from portfolio gallery General Options for providing the look you desire. Ability to change the Category styles position for each portfolio gallery project for Lightbox Gallery view.

Elastic Grid

Adding a Portfolio Gallery.

To add a new Portfolio Gallery go to Portfolios> Add New Portfolio / Gallery.
Add images. Use the standard WordPress Image uploader to add an image presing Add Project/Image button.
Title. Provide a title
Description. Provide a description
URL. Provide the link to be opened when hitting the image. In addition you can make the image to open in a separate window checking the box.

Inserting Created Portfolio Gallery.

On the upper right hand you can identify three blocks of options.
Current Portfolio Gallery Options. Choose one of the options for the image display.
Usage. Here you will see the shortcode for the created portfolio gallery. You can add the shortcode to the page or post where you want the images or videos to be displayed. In addition you can find the shortcode icon width each post and page within its TinyMCE editor and can click on it, select the portfolio gallery and insert the shortcode.
Template Usage. If you want to use for a custom location with the theme, you can copy and paste the provided code.

Gallery / Content Popup – In your gallery you can see images with the title under the text when you hover over the image you see zoom icon.

It opens each project from your tape increasing them as a popup, with the text.

In your gallery “Read More” button is under the text and inside the popup as well, it opens more information about the content, for closing the popup press “Cross” button and get back to your gallery images tape.
Description text allows any type of HTML modifications, which you can make straight on image gallery admin page while creating your gallery.
Your images inside popup can take it’s natural size or can be resized up to the size of the whole popup.
With pro license you are allowed to make many kinds of changes on the element and on the popup, like color, size and so on.

Responsive – our plugin generate fully responsive gallery on front end. All images on front end are scalable. Hover effect animation work on different screen resolutions.
File format: JPG, PNG, GIF, JPEG – use different file formats as content source. Detect file types automatically. Just select image in resources management section and upload it.
Hover effect – all elements of thumbnails hover animation could be fully customized. Hover elements contain link, zoom button, title and description. In admin section you can customize colors, styles, sizes of the hovered text and gallery buttons.
Navigation menu – top gallery menu show line of the categories with subcategories. Styles of the menu could be configured with wide range of different options. You can use icons, captions or icons with captions. Button icons could be customized with build-in wizard. Hover buttons – thumbnails hover buttons could be easily customized in interface features block. You can easily change color, border, size of the font colors for background and regular color in static and hovered stage. Icon of the buttons could be easily changed by wizard.
Zoom and Link buttons – zoom and link buttons on the front end have different functions. Zoom button open lightbox with full size image or scaled to the screen size. In the case if you define video link in some image settings then after click on zoom button you’ll see gallery lightbox with video content. Link button work as direct linked images without open lightbox.
Load more pagination – pagination option work similar to the google images section load more function. All labels, amount of image per page amount of the content for the first load could be setup in backend interface/pagination options section.
Title, description and caption – few text elements which could be different for every image. This text could be used on thumbnails as elements of the hover effect. As description of the image in lightbox gallery. As content source for the content panel in Polaroid mode.
Image Description – description of the image could contain HTML tags. With HTML you can customize description and add some elements like links.
Publish on post/page/widget – there’s few way to publish album on the front end in post, page, widget. For the post / page you can use shortcode generated in overview section.
Shortcode – shortcode could be inserted to the post or page manually. You can find shortcode in overview settings of the plugin. Another way use button in page / post editor which open up wizard. With this wizard you can generate and insert this shortcode to the article source.
Social media – social media buttons in lightbox implemented for sharing images from the image in social feeds. Every social media button could be turned on or / off separately.
Thumbnails padding – padding values in thumbnails settings block could be different for horizontal and vertical padding. Values for this options could be defined in pixels.
Menu align – top gallery menu could be align to the right, left side or align by center.
Menu button padding – menu buttons could have custom spacing between buttons. Another padding for every side of menu in general.
Youtube and Vimeo videos – links to the youtube or vimeo video resources could be specified in image gallery manager. Every image have separate field for the video link. You can post direct link to desired video resource.
Browsers support – we tested our plugin backend and frontend on all most popular stable versions of the browsers: IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome. Our plugin don’t have any conflicts and styles mismatches it is work stable and reliable.
Lazy load – this function help to make page loading more fast and lightweight. All images do not load at the same time and page do not overload by media resources.
Twitter sharing – lightbox have config option to enable / disable image twitter sharing button in lightbox. With this button you can easily make your visitors able to share your content.
Facebook sharing – lightbox have config option to enable / disable image facebook sharing button in lightbox. With this button you can easily make your visitors able to share your content.
Clone – this function help you make fast clone of the interface settings from already created item. It is really helpful when you wish to create alot items with the same settings. Clone function going to save some time for you.
Batch upload – you can upload multiple images at the same time. Also possible to upload images one by one or some set per session. We don’t have any limit for images size, it’s depend of your server and server software settings. In most cases hosting limit size of the upload for security reason.
Images link – one of the most popular function it’s link. It’s main element of the web pages and linked images on the front end is not exclusion. You can define custom link tor every item.
Video link – insert video link into image settings and create absolutely unlimited video gallery on your website. You can use youtube or vimeo links in resources manager to insert such type of content.
Video in lightbox – in the case if you used video links in resources settings you’ll see this videos in lightbox after click on enlarge button. In button settings you can easily change button icon. For example select some kind of play video style image.
Themes – from the version 2.0 plugin have new structure of the themes which could be configured depend of requirements of the styles and views. Theme could have different types: slider, image grid and etc. One theme could be used multiply times for different items.
Slider – image slider view for the plugin. Possibility to configure slideshow themes type for the created items. Switch to the slider theme for any already created items. Unlimited amount of the sliders, slides and themes.
Gutenberg Gallery Block – created new block for Gutenberg editor comfortable workflow. It’s possible to use Gutenberg block to insert plugin items into posts and pages in few clicks.

Optimized to avoid conflicts – we did all tests to make sure that our gallery avoid conflicts with another themes / plugins. In the case if you have some kind of conflict just contact our support with fix request.
Optional touch swipe support – most of the modern mobile devices implemented based on touch screen technology. We have optional swipe navigation mode for the gallery lightbox. This option could be switch off in settings of the gallery.
Advanced pagination function – pagination functionality make possible to have much more gallery images on page. Pagination navigation have classic gallery interface with button and navi arrows. Gallery layout mode – here you can define photo gallery layout modes. Classical with square shape gallery thumbnails or custom grid layout. Available values in gallery settings: classic, dynamic.
General gallery thumbnail – here you can select which gallery image will be used as general thumbnail in category list. Available values in gallery settings: first, random.

Gallery Interface Overview

Gallery interface have wide range of configuration options and elements. Gallery interface consist of fully responsive block with gallery thumbnails and navigation elements. Our gallery have few different navigation modes. Basic navigation based on thumbnails and gallery cover images which linked to the gallery with images album. Cover image could be defined in settings of every gallery. Gallry interface build on multi categories, multi level structure. Every gallery could have sub categories without limit of the amount of the main and sub categories so navigation between such gallery types could be multi level.
For navigation between gallery albums could be configured menu on top of the gallery thumbnails block. Menu on top of the gallery have different styles and advanced settings in admin section where you can configure structure view and style of the menu. Menu shot structure of the gallery albums configured in admin section categories configuration section. As alternative navigation menu you can use gallery breadcrumbs navigation menu. In gallery breadcrumbs you can publish at the same time with menu on top or as separate navigation element. Every gallery image could have link to some page or post on current website or link to some other blog.

Gallery Grid Layout

Our gallery support different style of the gallery thumbnails. You can use grid with classic gallery thumbnails. Size of the thumbnails could have portrait or landscape view. Another layout modes create grid of the thumbnails with mix of the gallery images where some images could have different width and height. Some thumbnails could take few grid columns another could take one column. Masonry gallery layout build without any special configuration. Just switch gallery into masonry mode and gallery create thumbnails layout depend of the source images size. Gallery thumbnails layout creating depend of the mix calculation of the size gallery images and general size of the gallery block.

Gallery Lightbox Settings

One of the most important and attractive element of the gallery interface it’s lightbox. When you click on some gallery image thumbnail after click you can have two events open lightbox with zoomed image. Another event it’s linked image to some other page, post or website. In our gallery you can use photo and image resources for content and video resources. For now it’s not possible to upload videos to the gallery server, but we have plans to implement this functionality in future gallery releases. In our gallery you can use youtube video or vimeo video link as content source. Every image of the gallery could have different video link in settings of the image. With such useful video support functionality you can create video galleries. Our gallery support different video link types. You can use short links for video integration. For now our gallery don’t have any additional options for the videos in gallery settings. You can use video links additional parameters to define some special configurations for video gallery.

Gallery Categories

Our gallery support multi categories structure. For categories configuration you can use categories management section where you can define parnt category for every album in your gallery manager. We have no limits for amount of the gallery, albums, categories or images. There’s no limit for amount of main categories and sub ctegories in your gallery structure. Configured categories could be published as menu on front end of the gallery. When you open direct link to some root categoriy you will see root gallery with all sub categories in menu on top of the gallery. Menu items depend of root gallery which you select in admin section.

Gallery Pagination Settings

in our gallery we have implemented pagination with classic buttons. You can define amount of the images per page and position of the gallery navigation. Gallery build layout in automatic mode and when you define amount of he images gallery calculate amount of pages and amount of the gallery images per page. For now we have only one mode of classic pagination, but in future releases we have plans to create load more style gallery images preloading mode.

Gallery for portfolio

You can use our gallery plugin as portolio gallery. In portfolio gallery you can upload your photos or screenshots of your works. Some presentations or pictures with some drafts. Step 1 Creating a Video Gallery

Huge-IT Video Gallery -> Add New Video Gallery

Add video link: Video links can be added from Youtube and Vimeo
Hover/ Set Custom Thumbnail: On the video can be added another thumbnail image
Title: Write a title for each gallery video
Description: Write some information about gallery video content
URL: You can add a link to another page that is related to the video
Give an interesting name to the video gallery
Select among 7 views to demonstrate the gallery videos
View Counter: This Button shows the number of video watching, when hover on it you will see View Report PDF, click on it to download the report in pdf file

Inserting Created Video Gallery

After you created Video Gallery on the right side find 3 blocks

1.Usage: Here is located the shortcode. By Copy and Paste this shortcode can be inserted wherever you need in your post. Or even it is possible to add the shortcode automatically. In the post window just by pressing on Add Video Gallery button the shortcode will be inserted into the post.
2.Gallery Template include: Insert this code into your template, to make inserting the video gallery easy for using in custom location within theme.

Add Pportfolio Gallery item

Portfolio Title – Enter the name for creating a gallery.

Portfolios Option – Select your created effect in Portfolio Option.

Albums Count – Select the count of albums. There is no limitation for images.
Image Title – This section is mandatory. Each image must given a name.
Select album – Select the album in that section in which you want to see your picture with name and description.
Add image – For add a image please press Add Image button.
Media Library – Here you will see WordPress’s previously pictures. Which during that time downloaded by you.
Insert from URL – Also you can add images in gallery through links. You can copy the picture’s link from your Web page than install it URL section
Image Description – It is preferable to write a description in portfolio. But it is not an essential condition. There are some options whichdo not appear the descriptions.
Link – You must comlete this window if you want your images has links.
After finishing click Save Image button, for save it in your gallery.

Usage Instructions

Portfolio Title – Write your Portfolio’s Gallery name. Every time for create new one, must complete this line.
Portfolio Option – Select the option that you previously created in General Option section.
Albums Count – Select for gallery several portfolio options will be.
Image Title – Name your image , which also will be heading.
Album Title – Write a title of the album.It is also designed for Menu.
Select Album – Select that album in which you want to be your entitled own picture and description.
Add Image – Use WordPress Image downloader.Add images through URL, from Media Library section or download from your PC.
Image Description – Write some information about Gallery content.
Link – It is intended for reference. Tick for opening the link in the new page or in the same page.

In this section you can change your Portfolio Gallery options. Choosing the Portfolio option you can modify colors , sizes, fonts,effects and the other things. Compliance with your site.

I love the native WordPress gallery. It’s easy to use and as intuitive as possible. Everything would be perfect if it were not for the column layout and lack of lightbox. Many themes display the WordPress gallery in an ugly and “no eye-catching” way. This was my inspiration to write this simple plugin.

Photonic Gallery & Lightbox for Flickr, SmugMug, Google Photos & Others

Photonic takes the WordPress gallery and super-charges it with a lot of added functionality. It adds support for several new sources and parameters to enhance the content and look-and-feel of your galleries. It supports Flickr photos, Albums (Photosets), Galleries and Collections, along with Google Photos photos and albums, SmugMug folders, albums and images, and Zenfolio photos, Photosets and Groups. You can also set up authentication so that visitors can see private and protected photos from each provider.

When used without the Gutenberg editor Photonic by default overrides the gallery shortcode. In case you happen to be using a theme or plugin that already overrides the gallery shortcode, Photonic provides you with the option to use your own shortcode for Photonic galleries. This lets your plugins coexist. Bear in mind that if you deactivate Photonic you will have to remove all instances of this custom shortcode, something that is not required if you stick to the gallery shortcode.

When used with Gutenberg Photonic creates no shortcodes, rather it creates blocks. If some of your posts were written with Gutenberg and some without, Photonic supports both scenarios.

Lightboxes

Of all plugins free or paid, Photonic has support built in for the highest number of lightbox scripts. This includes scripts that run on pure JavaScript without relying on external libraries, or those that require jQuery.

Instagram

In mid-September 2022 Meta / Facebook / Instagram changed its rules to disallow individual developers (i.e. developers not operating as a business) from meaningfully using its API. As a result, Photonic no longer works for Instagram photos. The code is still in place though, and works for authorized users, as can be seen here.

Native WordPress Galleries

Your existing galleries are left intact. However you can add a style parameter to a native gallery to open it up to Photonic. The style parameter can take any of the values documented on the Layouts page.

Gallery Wizard

The WordPress Classic editor shows up with a button that says “Add / Edit Photonic Gallery”. Clicking on it launches a wizard that helps you interactively build out a gallery with just a few clicks.

Video Support

Photonic provides gallery and lightbox support for videos as well. Videos of the following sorts are supported:

External videos from YouTube or Vimeo can be opened in any of the lightboxes apart from Image Lightbox, Thickbox or BaguetteBox
Self-hosted or external videos in MP4 formats can be opened in any of the lightboxes apart from Image Lightbox, PrettyPhoto, Strip or Thickbox
Videos hosted by external service providers (Flickr, Google etc.) can be opened as a part of a gallery in any of the lightboxes apart from Image Lightbox, PrettyPhoto, Strip or Thickbox. Some lightboxes have issues with specific features. Please refer to the Lightboxes documentation for more.

Deep-Linking and Social Sharing

Photonic provides deep-linking support for non-WP images, and by extension, supports social sharing to Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.

Beautiful Layouts

Photonic displays your galleries in multiple forms:

A grid of square thumbnails (the default)
A grid of circular thumbnails (like Jetpack)
A neat justified grid
A masonry layout
A tiled, random mosaic (a much improved variant of the Jetpack Tiled Gallery layout)
A slideshow, using the Splide script

Photonic is Gutenberg-capable. While creating a block, just look for Photonic. Please refer to the documentation.

Obsessively Comprehensive Documentation (OCD)

Photonic’s documentation is comprehensive to the point of obsession. And yet, if you find something missing, please feel free to get in touch via the support forum.

If you are using Gutenberg look for the "Photonic" block
If you are not using Gutenberg insert the shortcode for Photonic through the Media Uploader by clicking "Add Media", or click on "Add / Edit Photonic Gallery".
Clicking on the Gutenberg block, or on "Add / Edit Photonic Gallery" shows up an interactive flow for you to build out your gallery.
The interactive flow shows you the options available and helps construct the gallery easily.
If you click on "Add Media" you will see a new tab for "Photonic". This is not available for Gutenberg.
Clicking on the "Photonic" tab will show you new tabs, one for each type of gallery. Fill out what you need and click "Insert into post".
The gallery placeholder shows up in the "Visual Editor" or in the Gutenberg editor. Each provider's placeholder is designated by its logo.
Clicking on the placeholder lets you edit the attributes of the shortcode if Gutenberg is not being used and the interactive workflow is disabled.
